Our Policies
New Patients
Wondering what to expect at your first visit?
For new patients attending their initial consultation we:
- Discover what your dental and medical needs are and ask you to address any concerns you may have about dental treatments or procedures.
- Conduct a thorough examination to assess your teeth, gums and mouth. We then let you know of any dental conditions we find and/or if there is a need for further examination.
- Where required, we will present you with a detailed treatment plan to go forward.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you do possess dental insurance coverage or benefits, please bring this information with you. This will help us to submit information and billing to the insurance provider on your behalf.
Office Policies
Informed Consent
Treatments are only performed after we’ve received consent from our patients. We will provide you with a comprehensive explanation of your recommended treatment and your options. This will include the reasoning for the proposed treatment, the benefits and potential risks. At this time, you will be informed of how long the treatment will take, the cost and any possible side effects. Once all your questions are addressed, you can decide to give your consent to have the recommended treatment completed or to decline.
Appointment Cancellations & Rescheduling
We value your time and make it a priority to keep on schedule. As such, we ask that our patients arrive promptly for their scheduled appointments.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, 48 hours notice (2 business days) is required.
Please contact our office at (403) 282-9161 if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
For missed or “no-show” appointments, as well as failure to provide sufficient notice (48 hours) for rescheduling needs, you may be charged a fee. If this occurs more than once, our office will only be able to schedule you on an emergency basis.
Payment
Payment is required at the time a service or treatment has been provided. Payment types accepted include: debit, cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
If you have provided your dental insurance benefit details, we will process your claims (submit completed procedure codes to your insurance company) on your behalf. Your insurance company will reimburse you directly for those services and items you possess coverage for.
For any questions regarding our policies, please do not hesitate to contact us at (403) 282-9161.
